The Kurubis winery, taking its surname from the Latin name of the town of Korba where it is located, was created in 2005.

Creation and Ethos of KURUBIS

KURUBIS was founded following a chance encounter between a land-owner from Korba, Mr. Rached Lagha, who wished to better showcase his viticultural heritage, and a French oenologist, Didier Cornillon, who was diversifying abroad. The potential is enormous: a real terroir, with infertile soil and a very mineral subsoil, exposure towards the sea, and more moderate temperatures than in the center of the region, sheltered from the sirocco winds that can cause significant damage in summer...

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Since 2021, Kurubis has had a new majority shareholder, Mr. Jalel SOUISSI, a Tunisian entrepeneur. With his extensive industrial experience, he infuses complementary dynamics into the company, setting ambitious objectives aimed at making Kurubis an ever more qualitative brand leader in the local market and gradually in exports. Significant expansion and modernization work is underway, new winery, new storage warehouse, new bottling and labeling line, new commercial pretension, in short, all the means to allow the development of Kurubis without any compromise on quality.

Our land

Our grape is cultivated in Tunisia, on the land of Cap Bon. The secret behind our excellent wines? A team of professionals who share the same passion and expertise. Together, we experiment with new techniques and practice the most modern methods. The result? Wines without compromise, with the goal of showcasing Tunisia and satisfying wine lovers, foodies, professionals, gastronomes, gourmets, and epicureans alike. Through them, our terroirs express all their character.

The grape varieties

Our white vintages are composed of Chardonnay, Muscat of Alexandria, Sauvignon, and Vermentinu, while our red vintages are made up of Syrah, Merlot, and Marselan. Soon, we will be cultivating new grape varieties from vastly different regions, but always better suited to the new climate conditions.
